We are loving being able to help OP enjoy life.

Working with Lola at Lucky Leash has provided tangible results for our dog Op.  Op has had issues with anxiety and being in the car. We recently took OP with us on a trip to Vancouver. When we arrived, we took OP out of the car and walked into an unknown environment with men around. He walked up to the men and said an appropriate doggie hello and went about his business of smelling things. There were so many loud sounds and unfamiliar sounds and he didn’t bark or act in any way but calm and just ok. It was amazing! We also took him through a drive-through and he only barked once. We told him to chill, and he did. Basically, he had no car issues. Even at the drive-through window, his bark was more curious than protective. He is so calm now and so much more relaxed.

We are loving being able to help OP enjoy life. We wouldn’t have been able to come to this place without Lola’s help and guidance.  I am so very impressed with Lola’s attention to OP’s well being and her love for dogs truly shows in the way she handles every situation.

Our beloved dog has grown leaps and bounds

Lucky Leash is positive reinforcement-based training and IT WORKS! We couldn’t be happier with the results. Our dog was timid, fearful, and reactive so we called in an expert to help us – Lola with Lucky Leash. Before Lucky Leash we couldn’t have people over because our dog didn’t handle it well and we didn’t want our guests to be uncomfortable. We had many other issues with our beloved dog, but we weren’t willing to give up, and Lola said she could help us.  This past year our beloved dog has grown leaps and bounds with the tools and techniques we learned from Lola. Now we have the perfect dog for our home and we can invite friends and family into our home. If you own a dog, your dog and you need Lucky Leash. Lola is amazing and her true gift and passion is helping families and dogs have a better relationship.

Appreciate the differences and work within that realm

I wanted to give you an update on Flint. He is our best friend and one of the family. His third birthday is December 26, and thanks to you he has been with us this long!  He does not show any signs of aggression towards to anyone. Kelly and I have adapted our method of dealing with problems. We remain calm and use the commands we have taught him. “Drop it” and “Leave it” are the usual words and he understands them. We never grab an item from him, but ask him to “give”.  Otherwise we tell him to “sit,” “stay” and gently pick up the object. This works well, because he sees what we are doing and then we say, “Thank you,” and treat.

He is still a ‘different’ type dog, but you have taught to appreciate the differences and work within that realm. He is partial to the ladies, but doesn’t mind strange men, if we tell him it is okay. He still jumps on people, working on that; and barks at the various wildlife around here.  I am able to take him out every day, off leash and play fetch for a little while. He is responsive when I whistle and say “Come”.

He attends a doggie day care once a week and plays well with the other puppies. He is getting very adept at catching the Frisbee and it is a game that he loves.

He is a dear and sweet fellow and I owe so much to you. You taught us how to modify our behavior and reinforce his acceptable behavior.
